MBORC declaration for repair activities 

This MBORC declaration notification is issued as a special message to all Openreach customers following the recent severe weather experienced in the UK.

 MB14000 Many parts of the UK were hit with severe storm conditions, with extensive lightning strikes, from the end of last week and over the weekend of 4 and 5 July 2015. This  seriously impacted Openreach’s infrastructure, both above and below ground, with fault intake in the affected areas at extremely high levels.  Openreach declared MBORC for repair activities in a number of areas, on 8 July 2015: Openreach is now declaring MBORC for repair activities in a further area, with effect from 23:59  9 July 2015:West Yorkshire

MBORC remains open in the following areas: MB14000

Highlands and Islands

North East Scotland

South East Scotland

Durham and Tees Valley

South Yorkshire

Derby & Nottingham

Leicester

Coventry

Peterborough

Bournemouth

Broadlands

St. Albans

Truro 

We have been taking steps, including directing additional resource into all of these areas, to bring the position back to normal as quickly as possible. We are monitoring the situation and will remove MBORC as soon as service can be restored to the levels they were at immediately before the severe weather.

As a founding company member in 1989, Steve brought a wealth of experience in telecom system installations and sales. Prior to this he successfully completed an engineering apprenticeship at BT and established his career as a qualified industry engineer. Steve has developed many of G.T. strategies and policies which has led to the constant growth of the company.
